The beautiful Filipina Shen was crowned during the great ceremony in honor of the ABConservation association that took place in Puerto Princesa last Saturday. She becomes the first Miss ABConservation and agreed to answer our questions after a long night of celebration! Discover everything about this big-hearted Miss in three questions and a Chinese portrait.
If you had to introduce yourself in a few words, what would you say?
I am a dynamic and positive young woman. Living in Palawan since a very young age, I was fortunate to be raised in a loving family that passed on many values to me. This island and its treasures have taught me that nature is one of the most precious things available to man, so I work as much as I can to preserve it.

Why did you run for Miss ABConservation?
ABConservation is an association that has been working tirelessly in Palawan for several years now, and for even longer times in France. It touches on everything from education and awareness to conservation projects on the ground. Beyond the binturong, which is a truly endearing animal, the association acts for the protection of the environment and its motto has always inspired me. "The binturong: let's study, raise awareness, protect", everything is there, finally, if we want to act for nature. When I heard about the election, it seemed natural to register. In addition, the association was created on July 8, the day of my birthday. I couldn’t miss the sign!
How did you feel at the time of the announcement?
To be honest, I didn't believe it! Once the surprise passed, it gave way to immense joy and above all great pride. Becoming an ambassador of the association is a true consecration of my work for the protection of the environment and I am proud to be able to represent it during the various events that will be organized this year.
